Go to the sea. Breathe deeply. Listen intently. Hear its call. Most importantly, heed its call.

Go up into the mountains. Feel the forest. Connect with the bark of a tree. Whisper quietly to the squirrel upon your shoulder. Love with all of your heart and return nature's kindness.

This is an act of passion.

Do you feel it?

Quite obviously, I enjoy nature; every aspect of it, as a matter of fact. What feeds the senses, enhances the soul. Hiking has always been an interest of mine. I do not partake in the extreme, however. It is casual fun, great fitness and, therefore, a hobby. I am a poet; albeit an unpublished one. Poetry, like the eye, is a portal to one's inner beauty. It is a connection to the deepest recesses of a person's emotional center.

I have a basic background in music, very much a beginner. I have an interest in starting piano, again. It is my favourite instrument. Grieg and Chopin are two of my favourite composers, but I am eternally a devotee of Beethoven.

I am a self-taught knitter. I enjoy creating and the use of my hands. It is a peaceful endeavour and keeps the mind sharp.

I've previously touched on my taste in music, but I enjoy many different genres that include anything from classical to current pop. I enjoy early to mid-20th century folk and swing; 50's and 60's pop; 70's rock and easy listening; 80's and 90's pop, some 90's alternative.

I do have current goals and aspirations. I've been on a journey for the last twenty-five years. It has been full of struggles and accomplishments. Most of the accomplishments have been within the past couple of years. That journey has been weight loss. I'm happy to report that I've lost 61.50 lbs from my highest weight, and I continue to lose more each and every day. I aspire to continue on this path and would love to find someone willing to walk this journey with me.

And finally about myself...

I am a compassionate and empathetic man. I expect the same in my partner. I am kind, loving, passionate, and I go after my passions in life. I am passionate about spending time in nature, about writing, and about helping humanity become a better collective.
