I'm an ambitious, talkative, hard working girl, who would like to meet someone to share my interests with. I'm new(ish) to the area so would like to meet new people.
Whether it's for friendship or ends up being more I love meeting new people.
I enjoy swimming, walks when the weather is crisp, helping out at Church, and catching up with friends I've haven't seen in ages for mini adventures or afternoon tea.
My guilty pleasures are watching television after work, I have a soft spot for period dramas, but I also like staying in with a good book and glass of wine. (I've watched Downton Abbey three times!) I can be unashamedly geeky, though my friends say its just quirky.
I like traveling, exploring new places and cultures and trying new things - including food! I'm part of a dying out race (at least that's what the BBC tell me). No not Catholics, but Anglo-Indians, so I'm also keen to learn about other people's back stories.
I'm a writer - a journalist (no phone hacking) who dabbles in fiction (short stories and an ongoing novel project) as well as penning non-fiction when I have a minute, mostly guides and religious books.
I like meeting people who can engage in a good debate, who aren't shy of sharing their views or having them challenged and having interesting discussions from everything from current affairs, to literature or...Coronation Street. I'm not all work and no play. I also enjoy relaxing, and having a laugh with my friends and family.
I love the tudors, old castles, National Trust sites, and stamps. I warned you I can be geeky.
I'd like to hear from people who share my hobbies, simply want a friend with similar interests, or think we'd get along.
