People say that I am intelligent, passionate, romantic and sweet. What people tend not to notice about me is that I crave attention and affection, even though I offer it more than I get it. I'm shy. I don't seem like it but when I talk to people, inside I have that terrible shy feeling of wanting to hide. In my spare time I like to make wine or read or ride my bike in Prospect Park. I don't have any one thing that I do. Whatever I feel like doing in my spare time, that is what I do. I am somewhat of a geek and I enjoy reading modern day science fiction/fantasy books, especially those written by Laurell Hamilton. Most of the time I like to walk and take in the world around me. I like to walk in the city and pop into whatever restaurant I happen to come across. I'm not a trendsetter, I don't often dress up (although I think I clean up lovely). I adore a cozy corner, a coffee shop or a nice quiet beach somehwere. Most people's perception is that I am an outspoken and outgoing person, but that's because I overcompensate to hide how terrified I am. So be gentle. I work in the medical field, I plan on continuing in that line of work. I think it calls to my need to want to take care of others. Family is important to me and you have to be willing to get to know my family as I would enjoy and cherish getting to know yours. Understanding families helps you to understand your lover.
I know it sounds like a lot but that's how I am in relationships and this time I want the same thing in return. One day I want children of my own with a man that is passionate, strong and loving who has a similar parenting style to my own and because I want that, I do not date men who have children. I am sure that they are good men who take their responsibility seriously, but because of the seriousness of raising children I dont want to have to split time with your family. I feel that that would cause animosity and hurt feelings all around. I read an article that speaks to exactly what I mean, kids (for the most part) yearn for their parents, no matter how crappy they are whereas an adult is more likely to make a decision to turn their attention elsewhere if their needs aren't being met. Therefore, I don't think someone with kids should be devoting any of their already limited time to me. Their kids should be their priority.I WON'T RESPOND IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PROFILE FILLED OUT, it shows a lack of enthusiasm and instills a sense of superficiality. Make an effort.
