I believe in God, family, soul food, soulful music, individuality, tradition, conviction, creativity, giving back to the community. I'm not perfect, but I strive to constantly improve; having a great woman beside me will make life even better.

I'm really positive and optimistic about what lies ahead in my life. Now at 36 I feel like I "get it" (late bloomer). I'm excited about meeting a great woman and starting a family when the time is right. I embrace commitment. I am very close to my family (terrific mother and sister with extended family).

I've grown deeper in my faith and look forward to taking that walk with someone who is similarly committed. I believe in going to church every week and I pray daily.

To take her out to dinner, at the restaurant of her choice. Afterwards, a walk by the lake as the sun is setting so we can walk and talk and get to know each other a little better. I'm very romantic so flowers, gifts, cards and stuffed animals seem to find their way to her quite often. I am not afraid to say how I feel. I was raised by mother and owe so much to her.
