Primarily, getting to know my date better as a person. I want to know who she is, what her hopes and fears are, what she thinks of life. What better way to do that than make her comfortable and relaxed, and show her I want to know who she is and I want to share who I am.

I would start with something simple when we first meet, maybe give her a flower I picked on the way over, or tell her a funny story about what happened to me as I came to meet her. We would then eat at a restaurant I recommend, have after-dinner coffee, and try something fun and simple, like going into a chocolate store just to eat free samples. We would talk about ourselves until we knew each other well enough to talk about each other. If the date went well, and we showed genuine interest in each other, then I would ask her out again and maybe sneak in a farewell kiss.
