I had a very Catholic upbringing, but this has waned in the past few years for a number of reasons, and I haven't been practicing my faith as much as in the past. However, I am eager to reconnect with God and start attending Mass again on a regular basis, maybe even with a special someone from this site ;)

I'm the best of both worlds because I'm a massive tomboy wrapped like a piece of confectionery in a girly-girl wrapper! What this means is a) I understand footy, b) my eyes won't glaze over when you talk about your xbox and c) you'll never have to sit through another chick-flick again!

I'm a first-year arts student and I'm reasonably academic and I believe I'm moderately intelligent (or at least I hope so!) I possess very nerd-like tendencies and I have an intense desire to discuss and learn about history, politics, philosophy, art and literature. I love a good argument and I always play the devil's advocate, which means whatever stance you take, I'll take the opposite in order to spark a debate (it's nothing personal, life would be so boring if everyone agreed all the time!)

My hobbies include butchering classical music on the piano, painting and drawing. I especially love painting and drawing portraits from observation. Reading novels is an important passion of mine, and some of my favourite books include Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, and Jean M Auel's Earth's Children series, among many more.

At school I was the quiet girl who sat at the front of the class with her hand thrust perpetually in the air, ready to answer the question correctly or contribute to the class discussion. I also spend an inordinate amount of time with my nose stuck in a book, or day-dreaming, so if you're into the girl-next-door type, then I'm the one for you :pI can easily get mistaken as a bit of a bimbo, as I'm a very shy girl who spends a lot of her time with her head in the clouds and not paying attention to what is going on around her (which can be especially hazardous when crossing roads!) My shyness can create a social barrier initially, but I'm quite friendly and I warm to people very quickly, and when that happens I don't shut up.
