Beth

For the past 9 years as a widow, I've enjoyed doing what I want and when. A close male friendship helped me realize that I miss being in a relationship. No, dating is not like riding a bike. I am learning all over again. I'll try to keep this as abridged as possible, but I have so much to say. For starters, I'm Beth. As of April, I am 64. I believe that due to my job, which is teaching, I feel a lot younger. This is vital for survival, teaching middle school special ed. My three amazing children and three equally amazing grandchildren are my world! My dad was in the Civil Service, and my family and I have traveled the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. We moved to our formerly native country, Germany for 2 years and practically lived in our car, exploring the countries surrounding us. My favorite place in Europe is Berlin! My family and I were granted permission to physically visit East Berlin when the city was divided. I was active in many things at school and ran my mom ragged. My major interests are in the Arts. I love music and play the piano and violin. My singing voice was good, then, too, so choir and drama took much of my time. My sport was tennis and had a Chris Everett backhand. I create art when inspired and prefer multimedia and pencil over paint. If I had my way, I'd be a full time artist. I escape in my work. The money was not enough to live in a shoebox, so my art is my time for just me. Music is vital and I listen to it whenever possible. My favorite music will forever be 70s and 80s Rock. I sing along, especially with Metallica, Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin, and the Scorpions. To know who I really am, deep inside, is to realize that I love unconditionally and am an eternal optimist. God has been good to me. We talk alot. My Catholic faith has been the reason that I don't give up and care so deeply. There is one thing that I do not, will never ever ever tolerate, and that is lying. A fib to prevent hurt feelings is ok. A lie is a major NO with me. I will find out. Just ask my kids. I am attracted to tall, intelligent men with mesmerizing eyes. I hope that my future friend, romantic and potentially permanent and I find each other.
